New Looks At Michael Cera & Juno Temple In Sundance Entry 'Magic Magic'

Aside from a brief appearance in Mark Webber's "The End Of Love," it has been two long years since we've last seen Michael Cera on the big screen. Of course, that was in Edgar Wright's "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World," and while 2013 will see him once take on the role that made him famous, that of George Michael Bluth in "Arrested Development," he's got two feature projects that will likely shake up his image. He's been hanging out a lot lately with "The Maid" director Sebastian Silva, and they've been productive. The comedy "Crystal Fairy" has already been slotted for the Sundance Film Festival, but now the other one is being called up, the much higher-profile "Magic Magic."

Added today (along with the soul music doc "Muscle Shoals" and Quentin Dupieux's "Wrong Cops") to the proceedings in Park City, a few more images have arrived for the movie (lensed by Christopher Doyle, it should be mentioned) and they're certainly captivating. A solid supporting cast are in place, including Juno Temple, Emily Browning, Catalina Sandino Moreno and Augustín Silva, in the story of Alice (Temple), an American girl vacationing with her friends in a remote area of Chile who slowly starts losing her mental faculties. When her best friend (Browning) returns to Santiago, things start getting worse, and she tries to get her other friends' attention, but they ignore her until it's too late.

It sounds very promising and even from the pics only, suggests a very different Cera than we're used to. Take a look below.
