“Sex is absolutely what helps sell this movie, which is fine by me,” Jessica Alba told EW, and she's spot on about what's going to get audiences to buy tickets for this one. Oh sure, "Frank Miller's Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" is a sequel to the groundbreaking hit "Sin City," but the movie also promises skin, sleaze and good old fashioned violence, and you can get a sense of all that with these new pics.

"It was such a departure from who I am, to play [Sin City's stripper Nancy] who is such a mess. That's what you want out of a role. I was scared, I was freaked-out, I was like, 'How is this going to happen?' I'm not used to being that vulnerable," Alba said, but it's clear she has taken full ownership of the part. Indeed, Nancy continues to be front and center of the campaign of the new movie, with her character becoming central to the next batch of pulpy stories. But she's not alone, with Eva Green, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Josh Brolin and Mickey Rourke also part of an extensive cast bringing the comic to life.

"Sin City: A Dame To Kill For" arrives on August 22nd. Pics below.
