It's two down and one to go for Taylor Kitsch whose attempt to leap from "Friday Night Lights" to blockbuster superstardom has been wobbly at best. Both "John Carter" and "Battleship" are underperforming, didn't exactly show off his acting skills in the best light (though ladies got more than an eyeful of his ripped bod) and now it's down to this: "Savages," the latest from the wild and unpredictable Oliver Stone.

Both "John Carter" and "Battleship" are underperforming, didn't exactly show off his acting skills in the best light (though ladies got more than an eyeful of his ripped bod) and now it's down to this: "Savages," the latest from the wild and unpredictable Oliver Stone.

And it's exactly the director's go-for-broke spirit that will make his pulpy next effort either amazing or dreadful. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground. With the film still over a month out, the marketing campaign is yet to begin in full force, but a few bits of material have made their way online. First up, over on Facebook and Oliver Stone's site (via The Film Stage) are some new pics from the film featuring Kitsch, Aaron Johnson, Blake Lively and Salma Hayek, as well as some behind the scenes stuff. If some of the pics look grainy or off that's because they've been taken via Instagram, for what reason we don't know.

Anyway, "Savages" will be the adult option opposite "The Amazing Spider-Man" when it opens on July 6th. Take a look at the new TV spot below with the rest of the pics.
