10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesBased on the cult TV show, the picture follows Barnabas Collins (Johnny Depp) a 17th century vampire who is buried alive and emerges in the 1970s to find things have changed drastically. His manor is being presided over by the family matriarch (Michelle Pfeiffer), the evil witch (Eva Green) who cursed him still desires him, and inventions like the television are utterly fascinating. It's a tricky blend of genre and humor, but it's right in Burton's wheelhouse and this latest endeavor between the two looks to be a very strong return to form.
A batch of new, mostly Depp-centered images has landed for the film, giving another peek at the world we can expect on the big screen. "Dark Shadows" fall on May 11th. [Comic Book Movie]
