The interwebs as we know them will no longer be the same once Johnny Depp's brain gets uploaded into it and causes the singularity. Or something. We're still puzzling it out if Wally Pfister's "Transcendence" sounds either deeply awesome or deeply hilarious (maybe both?) but some new pics and a poster are here to take you into the deep web.
Co-starring a pretty solid cast including Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Paul Bettany and Morgan Freeman, the film is about a computer wiz who has created sentient machines, which has made the target of anti-technology extremists who attempt to kill him. In order to preserve his consciousness, the tech mastermind gets his brain uploaded onto the net and then some crazy stuff probably happens. Remember when ordering books online was a big deal?
