A handful of new posters have arrived in the last twenty-four hours, for some of next year's potential big hits including two possible blockbusters, one big comedy, and an intriguing take on the “Regular dudes who become superheroes” genre. So let's get crackin'.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter,” which opens June 22nd, finds Honest Abe (played by Benjamin Walker) trouncing vampires in this historical/genre mashup. Tim Burton is producing the film, with Timur Bekmambetov directing. It will be interesting to see how well Bekmambetov balances comedy and gore. We don’t remember “Wanted” enough to think back on whether or not it was funny, but we wish Timur the best of luck, particularly as the premise is pretty good. Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Alan Tudyk, Anthony Mackie and Dominic Cooper co-star in the film, which has two new posters below. [IGN]

The new poster for “The Hunger Games” builds off the cautious optimism eliited by the film’s trailer, showing Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson on giant screens, fighting for their lives, their tribes and for the entertainment of the world. The poster was revealed after a fairly lame internet puzzle piece treasure hunt or something yesterday. Anyway, if you had no time or interest to deal with that, here's what that all added up to. The film sounds like a pretty bleak story, but the books sold a whole bunch of copies and Lionsgate is hoping the film will sell lots of tickets. We’ll find out if they've got a new franchise when the film opens March 23rd. [Movies]

The Dictator” unveils its first poster, and it features Sacha Baron Cohen's titular leader in a ego stroking painting, complete with a golden frame. While the one sheet is clever, if you had no idea of the context, it would be a complete mystery as to what you're looking at. Anyway, we're still trying to warm up to this movie that co-stars Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley and John C. Reilly, and is helmed by Cohen regular Larry Charles (“Borat,” “Bruno”). It hits theaters on May 11th. [IMP Awards]

One of the most intriguing of the new one-sheets is for “Chronicle,” an image that causes viewers to go back for a second look in order to find out what they’re looking at. The film is from first-time feature director Josh Trank, and is co-written by John Landis’ son, Max Landis and presents a found-footage-style story of four teens who discover they have supernatural powers. The first trailer was pretty amazing and if that’s not enough to get you into the theatres when the picture opens on February 3rd, then what about the presence of “Friday Night Lights” and “The Wire” star Michael B. Jordan? [FirstShowing] Update: STYD have dug up another international one sheet for the pic.

Finally, the first official poster for "The Expendables 2" has arrived with Sylvester Stallone making the argument that the only thing better than one gun, is two guns. You already know everything there is to know about this sequel, which teams up a bunch of old action stars and then explodes stuff around them. Liam Hemsworth in this too for some reason. Get your cinematic equivalent of an HGH injection on August 17, 2012. [AICN]
