10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesAs “Total Recall,” the latest entry in the list of remakes no one asked for, is set for release in a little over three weeks, the marketing campaign is going into overdrive. A batch of new stuff from the movie has arrived for your weary eyeballs.
First up is a clip from the film that extends the sequence shown in the trailers, where the “recall” operation goes wrong and Colin Farrell kills a squad of faceless soldiers in one CG-assisted take. Has the scene been slightly edited for the interwebs or are Len Wiseman's directing and editing choices always this choppy and slipshod? The studio has also released a featurette on the story of Len Wiseman’s remake, containing interviews with stars Farrell, Jessica Biel, and Kate Beckinsale, as well as Wiseman. It’s a pretty run-of-the-mill featurette that doesn’t really give anything away, so the spoiler-averse types don’t need to worry about seeing it.
And lastly, we have the new international poster for the film, and it’s just as bland as any other poster Hollywood has churned out in the past decade. “Total Recall” hits theaters August 3rd. Check out the poster below along with the trailer and featurette. [Yahoo/Fandango/ComingSoon]
