Having screened for critics, dropped some enticing trailers and now, and now with some more clips and pictures from the film landing online (here's the clip from last week in case you missed it), all we have left to do is watch the film that is definitely near the top of our list to catch before the end of year.

Having screened for critics, dropped some enticing trailers and now, and now with some more clips and pictures from the film landing online (here's the clip from last week in case you missed it), all we have left to do is watch the film that is definitely near the top of our list to catch before the end of year.

Starring Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Melissa Leo and Amy Adams, the film is based on the true story of boxer ‘Irish’ Mickey Ward (Wahlberg) and his half-brother and trainer Dickie Ecklund (Bale). Early response from critics has been good, though not overwhelmingly strong, though most agree the performances are ace with some predicting acting nods for Amy Adams, Christian Bale and possible Melissa Leo. In the clips below we get an ever better look at the feel of the film and it's definitely appears to be raw and gritty; Adams in particular looks in fine form and her verbally sparring with Mama Ward is great fun.

Check out the clips and a plethora of pics after the jump. "The Fighter" rings the bell on December 10th.
