Well, this is incendiary.
Bobcat Goldthwait, former standup comedian turned deranged independent filmmaker, has certainly made his mark on the indie film community. His modest beginnings with the dark farce "Shakes The Clown" could not have prepared audiences for the surprising combination of sweetness and darkness from perverse bestiality comedy "Sleeping Dogs Lie" and the cheeky Robin Williams suicide vehicle, "World's Greatest Dad." Now, he's going all-out with "God Bless America," another black comedy, The film tells the story of a terminally-ill man who goes on a shooting spree across the U.S. with a sixteen year old girl. Gulp.
The premise seems a bit Uwe Boll-ish, and we can't help but think this photoshopped poster, courtesy of Hitfix, kinda blows. Goldthwait's a guy who's earned the benefit of the doubt, and we'll all get to see what's in store when the film premieres at the Toronto Film Festival. Click to see the poster below, and wonder how your photoshop skills make you overqualified to work in Hollywood.

Long time no see. I think you should inquire about Edward Furlong doing a movie with you Mr. Director-he is a great actor as you may know.

Clumsily made as that poster is... it got a smile out of me.
