The world has been ending rather a lot recently at the multiplex and next week Guillermo Del Toro is going to smash up the planet once again with "Pacific Rim," but we'd reckon few of the movies will have the kind of beer fuelled mayhem that will be poured out of "The World's End." The latest from Edgar Wright is coming to put a helluva finale on the summer and a few more looks at the the movie have arrived.

The world has been ending rather a lot recently at the multiplex and next week Guillermo Del Toro is going to smash up the planet once again with "Pacific Rim," but we'd reckon few of the movies will have the kind of beer-fuelled mayhem that will be poured out of "The World's End." The latest from Edgar Wright is coming to put a helluva finale on the summer and a few more looks at the the movie have arrived.

Reteaming of course with his pals Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, with a pretty great supporting cast in Rosamund Pike, Martin Freeman, Paddy Considine, Eddie Marsan and more, the movie is quite simple: five friends reunite for a pub crawl, robot invaders attack and shit goes pear shaped. It looks like another energetic and funny genre riff from the Cornetto boys and these new TV spots and featurette show you what they've cooked up, while take a glance back at "Shaun Of The Dead" and "Hot Fuzz."

Grab a Cornetto and check out the film when it drops on August 23rd.
