Indie thrillers, franchises and family movies—it's a wild mix in this casting round up, so let's to it. First up, Nicholas Hoult has replaced Zac Efron in the upcoming "Autobahn." Set to be written and directed by Eran Creevy, who made some waves this year with his thriller "Welcome To The Punch," the movie follows a backpacker and his girlfriend (to played by Amber Heard), who is hired by German drug smugglers, only for the job to go south and be forced to flee on the freeways of the title.

Former "Downton Abbey" star Dan Stevens is still swinging for a Hollywood hit, and so he'll take a crack at the bat with this first franchise: "Night At The Museum 3." He'll be joining the returning Ben Stiller and Robin Williams in the latest things-to-come-life-and-everything-gets-wacky adventure playing Sir Lancelot. There are no plot details yet for this one, but really, who needs plot details? Shawn Levy returns to direct and ensure the quality quotient for this series remains as high as it ever was. [Variety]

And speaking of family movies, Sam Worthington, Anthony LaPaglia and Ed Oxenbould have joined the currently in production 3D movie "Paper Planes." Robert Connolly is directing the Steve Worland penned movie about "11-year old Dylan (Oxenbould), who is brought up by his father (Worthington) in a remote town in country Australia. Dylan’s life changes when he wins a place in the regional Paper Plane Championships in Sydney. Battling nerves and his nemesis, private schoolboy Jason (Nicholas Bakopoulos), for a spot at the World Championships in Japan, his greatest challenge seems himself. Wisdom arrives from a most unlikely source when he meets Kimi (Ena Imai), the junior Japanese champion." So..."Karate Kid" with paper airplanes? Bonus: Eric Bana is among the producers.
