Review: 'The Immigrant'During a recent webchat with readers at Empire (via FilmDrunk) Nic Cage was asked if there are any characters he'd like to revist, and deftly sidestepping suggestions for Dr. Stanley Goodspeed (from "The Rock") or Cameron Poe (from "Con Air"), he gave this answer instead: "I would like to hook up with one of the great Japanese filmmakers, like the master that made 'Ringu,' and I would like to take 'The Wicker Man' to Japan, except this time he’s a ghost."
FUCKING. YES.
Somebody make this happen and get Hideo Nakata on the phone. And at the very least, Edward Malus will finally be free of the bees.

I'd like to think that bees would foreshadow every appearance of Edward Malus. Then when we see him he's surrounded by them, some of them buzzing in a circle over his head like a crown. The ghost god of bees.

I'm sure Miike could get this done in a couple weeks
