10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesHot on the hells of news earlier this week that the (long-awaited?) sequel to Robert Rodriguez's exploitation pic was happening, the film is now on the floor at European Film Market where buyers are circling. And they'll have a helluva one sheet to entice them further. This one arrives in a crisp hi-def copy with a close-up on Danny Trejo's ravaged face and, of course, lots of blood.
Anyway, the movie is gearing up for an April shoot with Trejo and whoever survived from "Machete" expected to return. The story will find our hero hired by the U.S. government to head into Mexico to take down a cartel leader and madman billionaire, who plan to launch a weapon into space. We presume this will set the stage for "Machete In Space."
It seems they're aren't messing with the formula here at all, which is probably a good thing. But whether or not we really need this movie is probably a discussion best left for another day. At any rate, drink in the poster below. [ComingSoon]
