A few new images from the upcoming, R-rated, don't-show-Karl-Urban's-face production and among the fresh looks, Thirlby causes some red mist to exit the back of a dude's head. Ouch. We're still cautious and curious about this one, which is currently reeling from the buzz that screenwriter Alex Garland and director Pete Travis were tussling over the editing of the film, while a few days later, they less convincingly said everything was fine. But if these pics confirm anything, it's that the film certainly won't hold back on the carnage. Lena Headey co-stars as the villain and there is lots of time to get the move in shape for its September 21st release. Also, Thirlby as a blonde? Yep, it works.
Meanwhile, Disney drops another batch of pics from "The Phantom Menace: Dune Riddick Of Avatar" aka "John Carter." Taylor Kitsch leads the movie about a Civil War hero who for some reason is transported to space and then does something with a bunch of aliens and monsters and there is also a girl in it too. Sorry, that Super Bowl spot didn't help us out much either. Andrew Stanton makes his live action debut which, if anything, should melt your eyeballs. It arrives on March 9th.
