Waar

Yeah, we know....it's only hours until the ball drops in Times Square and yes, we'll be getting our party hats on soon. But one more list for you before we say hello to 2014: it's the IMDB Best Of 2013 Poll.

Yep, the comprehensive site of all things movies has released their list of the Highest Rated Feature Films Released In 2013 with the caveat being they had to get at least 10,000 votes. And perhaps speaking to the growing influence of international audiences, the Pakistani action flick "Waar" (an Urdu word meaning "to strike") came out on top with a 9.1/10. You can check out a trailer for the movie below so you can get a sense of what the war on terror themed flick is all about.

Coming in right behind, surprisingly given its C+ CinemaScore, is Martin Scorsese's controversial "The Wolf Of Wall Street" (8.8/10) followed closely by "12 Years A Slave" (8.7/10). Essentially, the biggest and/or most acclaimed of the movies of the year take up the majority of the list, with some random outliers like the mediocre rom-com "About Time" managing to sneak on there.

Comments? You know where to go. Full list below. [via Dark Horizons

    Nathu Qassai,

I think you are one of the morons who are just here to talk crap about Pakistani movies, even the Indian director RGV has praised this movie, and pls stop talking about ladies of Pakistan. We don't have an open society like west and respect our ladies.

  • Nathu Qassai | January 9, 2014 3:34 AMReply

I am a pakistani, but thin waar is a propaganda movie. Though the quality of movie is good, but still i think it doesnt deserve 9.1. It was not the best.

  • CASH | March 20, 2014 10:43 AM

as i am Indian i know this movies is real quality as we Indian isolated Pakistani cricket from other world we don't want them be wid good image this movie is truly showing wot we are doing in Baluchistan and Pakistan. i don't know where you com with this idea that this movies is propaganda. even our chif of army staf accepted that we are doing surten things in Pakistan how you say it is propaganda. so get life mister nathu

  • Nathu Qassai | January 9, 2014 3:31 AM

Yeah Pakistani Girls are beautiful and the best in the world. There is much difference between indian girls and pakistani girls. In indian it depend on the race, southern girls in india are not much beautiful,, but norther area have good quality girls. In Pakistan however, you can find beautiful girls every where.

  • Michael | January 7, 2014 12:37 PMReply

I would recommend everyone see WAAR.

  • Wallis | January 6, 2014 3:22 PMReply

its nice to see the ratings of this movie, yes it is true that "WAAR" is mostly in English ,around 70 percent of the movie is in English.

I must say Waar is a brilliant movie for cinema like Pakistan where less than a dozen movies are made in a year. Its not bollywood or hollywood. To create something like that and get it successful was a great task. I personally enjoyed the movie. People go watch it in cinemas. Its worth it! Also http://egmante.com

WAAR: Everyone has been complaining about us, all this while. Now hear our part of the story. Really good portrayal of what's happening in this war against terror, from perspective of a common Pakistani.

  • abdullah | January 5, 2014 1:29 AMReply

waar is simply overrated !!!!! doesnt deserve even 8 weak story line

  • Fahad | May 31, 2014 3:25 PM

chuutya tu Indian hi hoga .......

  • warraich | February 8, 2014 9:55 AM

teri kyun phat rahi hy chotiye

  • Alan Champion | January 2, 2014 2:31 PMReply

    But they're gonna change!!!
Wolf of Wall Street had 9.2 last week. Gravity had 9.4 in October for a short time. It's like giving the "final" verdict on a movie from Rotten Tomatoes when only 11 critics have given an opinion.

  • Adnan | January 5, 2014 7:49 AM

WAAr was 9.2 2months ago , then after 2 weeks 8.8, then when the film hit the screens in Dubai and other countries Now rating is 9.1... it means Film is very good.

  • Sam | January 1, 2014 4:27 PMReply

Waar the Pakistan. The movie has really done an amazing business with outstanding special effects. I heard its in English. On my no 1. Watchlist now.

  • fwallis | January 7, 2014 4:01 PM
