10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesDeadline reports that Paula Patton, who was last seen fighting Lea Seydoux in a swanky hotel room and seducing sleazy Anil Kapoor in 'Ghost Protocol' will hang off the arm of Denzel Washington (and hopefully serve as more than eye candy) in "2 Guns" with Mark Wahlberg. Initially set as a reunion between Wahlberg and "The Fighter" helmer David O. Russell, the gig was given to "Contraband" helmer Baltasar Kormakur last fall. So he'll take on the story penned by Blake Masters and based on the graphic novel by Steven Grant, that follows two lawmen—a DEA agent and an undercover naval officer—who investigate each other as each have been tasked to steal mob money.
We presume this means this is gearing up to shoot soon, which means sometime in the near future we'll have a sexy trailer powered by a Jay-Z song, and looking like a mid-'90s Tony Scott movie. And that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Patton and Denzel were already in a movie together: Deja Vu.

Agreed. This is most definitely not a bad thing. Especially in a marketplace where Hunger Games keeps raking in cash and Marvel movies (and other poor superhero attempts) can roam freely.
