Another day, another piece of "Hunger Games" casting. We hope they finish up soon and get around to actually making the damn thing.
Anyway, THR reports that "Caprica" and "Sons of Anarchy" star Paula Malcomson has joined the film as the the Mom of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Primrose Everdeen (Willow Shields). In what will likely be mostly a first act role, the Mom grieves after the death of her husband and Dad to her daughters and lives in fear they will drafted into the deadly gladiatorial battles. Well, turns out her fears come true.
Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Dayo Okeniyi, Amandla Stenberg, Leven Rambin and Jack Quaid round out the cast for the film. "Hunger Games" begin on March 23, 2012.
