A poster and some fresh stills for "The Lincoln Lawyer" have arrived and if you've ever wanted to see Matthew McConaughey straddle a Lincoln hood ornament then today is your lucky day.
The film stars McConaughey in the role of ace defense attorney Mickey Haller who makes his coin defending some pretty lowlife scum. Enter Ryan Phillippe playing said scum, a man accused of rape and murder but who might be entirely innocent. The film is based on the book by Michael Connelly, and while his works are great fun, they’re also quite pulpy which could make the transition to the screen difficult without coming off as plain ridiculous. However, with the likes of an awesomely mustachioed William H. Macy, Marisa Tomei and the always underrated Michael Pena rounding out the cast, we’re hoping this one will make the big screen leap work. As for the title, it’s because Haller doesn’t have an office, and works exclusively out of the backseat of his chauffeured Lincoln.
"The Lincoln Lawyer" opens on March 18, 2011. [ScreenCrave/ComingSoon]

Connelly's works are pulpy? Really? I've read 'em all multiple times and, as an aficionado of pulp, I can't see it. Looking forward to this one. It's one of three (soon to be four); I've read them all and they're great.
