10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesTHR reports that Perry and Paramount are chatting about tag-teaming with Imagine Entertainment for a 3D concert movie. It's really a no-brainer. Paramount scored big with another disposable pop singer when they raked in $73 million thanks to "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" -- the highest grossing concert movie domestically of all time. And clearly, there is a huge audience of people that love bad music and every glossy, candy-colored, body hugging, cleavage baring thing Perry does. Deadline adds that the film has already been shot by Nanette Burnstein ("American Teen," "Going The Distance").
But, really, whoever is helming probably isn't overly important. It's going to be Perry front and center and it's going to be very...bright. [THR]

I'll go if it's rated X.

This is very interesting news for the Katy Perry fans. I'm sure they'll be glad to hear this development. You can also count me in here.

whoa. First 3D concert movie I'll pay to see! Reserving my tickets now. Pay no attention to sour crabapples, Katy! Continue to be your delightfully charming and desirable self and pimp that peppy music out!

Where's the Channing Tatum casting update? Dude has to have been cast in this "film" by now.

Paramount can thank me for the tagline later.
