Last time we saw the handsome Tom Hiddleston he was moments from having the Tesseract in his hand at the close of "Thor." It looks like he's gotten his hands on a far more enchanting item in the poster for "The Deep Blue Sea," as he clutches the lovely Rachel Weisz in the throes of passion. Lucky Loki.
In the adaptation of the Terrence Ratigan play, which premieres tomorrow at TIFF, Weisz stars as a suicidal adulteress who leaves her husband for a drunken ex-pilot, with Simon Russell Beale co-starring as the cuckold. The film is directed by Terence Davies, who, if Wikipedia is to be trusted, only took the job because he owns a private shark tank he utilizes for experiments in curing Alzheimer's. Man, he must have been really bummed that day.
