10 Essential Cinematic Antiheroes
For some reason, this was a mo-cap production, but the end result judging by this trailer, is animation that looks like it would've been cutting edge about a decade ago. At best, it's like a really well done cut scene from a videogame. At best. We suppose one has to admire Lutz's dedication to craft and paychecks for going through with this, and if it does turn out to be an embarrassment, it's not like his actual face is in this thing. As for Jane, we don't see her yet in this first trailer, but we presume Locke's days on set were easier since she didn't have to walk around on all fours.
Reinhard Klooss directs from a script he co-wrote with Jessica Postigo ("The Mortal Instruments") and Yoni Brenner ("Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs"). No stateside date yet, but it will open internationally next summer. And in case you really care, you can head over to Animatie (who tipped us off to the vid -- thanks!) to watch a behind-the-scenes, making-of EPK.

Why is everone so cynical . . . this looks to me like a decent movie, maybe you've seen too many movie look alikes . . . not that impressive yet, but give it a chance. Batman Begins preview didn't look like much when it was first shown - sorry for the comparrison, it is just too irritating when people assume so much from one little preview . . . .

Wow! So it's a low-rent ripoff of Avatar with late-1990s level effects. Okay.

The trailer looks like Disney's Tarzan from the 90's.
