10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesThat's right, the raging bull himself has officially signed on to "Last Vegas" after rumors that he had joined the project a few weeks back. Penned by "Crazy Stupid Love" writer Dan Fogleman (with Adam Brooks and Alan Yang doing recent drafts), the story revolves around four 60-something guys who head to Vegas for the bachelor party of the last of their group to get married. Douglas will play a man who's getting hitched to a woman half his age and gets his buddies out to Nevada for one last blowout. De Niro has the wet blanket role, playing a dude who doesn't like to party, but still heads to Vegas to hang with his pals.
No word yet if Christopher Walken, who was also rumored for a role, will also come on board. But Douglas + De Niro? Yeah, we'll put up with the lame comedy sketch for them. Shooting starts in September with Jon Turteltaub directing. [Deadline]
