10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesVariety reports that the actress has joined Canadian filmmaker Atom Egoyan's "Queen Of The Night." Starring Ryan Reynolds, Scott Speedman and Mireille Enos, the story centers on a father (Reynolds) whose daughter was abducted. Eight years after the girl was taken, a series of disturbing clues convince the father that the now 17-year-old remains alive, and he is determined to find her. Enos will play the wife who checks in yearly with the police about her daughter, and who may hold the clues to her whereabouts in the belongings she still has, while Speedman will be a cop assigned to the case. As for Dawson, she'll be an investigator in charge of the case. We like the cast, let's just hope Egoyan doesn't "Chloe" this up.
As for "Trance," it's just around the corner -- for the U.K. anyway, a domestic date still eludes us -- and a pretty nifty teaser poster has arrived courtesy of Total Film. The picture follows the story of an assistant at an auction house (McAvoy) who masterminds a heist and teams up with a gang of thieves led by Cassel, only to suffer a blow to the head and wake up with amnesia. The assistant is then subjected to analysis from a hypnotist as the gang begin to suspect duplicity in their ranks. And this one sheet certainly plays up the psychological element to the movie pretty brilliantly. "Trance" opens in the U.K. on March 27th.
