10 Essential Cinematic AntiheroesThe Wrap reports that Lohan is in talks for "Scary Movie 5" which was already pushed back from October 2012 to January 2013, and is now being targeted for an April 19, 2013 release. Disney star Ashley Tisdale signed on earlier this month for the movie set to be directed by Malcolm Lee ("Undercover Brother") that will not feature Anna Faris, and parody "Black Swan" among other things. Of course, whether or not this actually pans out remains to be seen. The Weinsteins (and Lohan's handlers as well) love some good publicity, so they're probably keen on it, but we would wager insuring the actress is probably a bit of a small nightmare.
It's been kind of tragic how Lohan so quickly spiralled from promising actress to tabloid nightmare, but the people around her probably haven't helped the situation. The strategy being employed here seems to be to put her in any production that would have her, but we think sticking the indie route as she's done with "The Canyons" is probably the smarter play. But you don't make money doing movies that are made for next to nothing. So whatever. "Scary Movie 5" might have Lohan in it... frightening indeed.
