What's the difference between delusion and reality? That depends on who you're talking to, but if who you're talking to is a figment of your imagination, a hallucination or not altogether real at all, you may have a problem. And these two videos highlight that fact in some fun ways.

Richard Trammell has worked some digital trickery to show off scenes from "The Shining" and "Fight Club," missing some key characters. From Stanley Kubrick's film, we see Jack Nicholson talk to an absent Delbert Grady in the bathroom of the Overlook (those red tiles are still hot), meanwhile, Edward Norton punches a missing Tyler Durden in the ear. It's clever stuff, providing a new perspective to these films and well worth a moment of your time. So click below.

cool, just had my mind blown by room 237, suddenly I understand why the shining still holds so much power. Really don't get the Kubrick's estate's intolerance to the doc, it transforms a shallow exercise in style into a thing of mystical wonder.

Oh get over yourself Rollins. One of the interesting themes of the doc was the way it explored the mysterious quality in art that has the power to create symbols and patterns in the minds of the viewer, whether it be the maker's conscious intention or not, if the patterns are there, they're up for grabs in the mind of the viewer, and the work becomes infinite and alive. That's what art does to people, that's what makes it interesting and powerful. There is no right or wrong, this isn't mathematics you pompous ass, it isn't even about Kubrick, it's about the mystery that's inherent in the film, it's actually The Shining that thrives on people having no idea not Room 237.

Toots, have faith in knowing that you have no idea what you're talking about. Room 237 thrives on people who have no idea what they're talking about.
