10 Essential Cinematic Antiheroes
As seen here at Coming Soon, the pics from the first day of shooting showcase a much more streamlined design, less bulky and more accommodating for casual body movement. The second pic looks like that visor will be removed, and we’ll have a greater chance to see star Joel Kinnaman’s adorable punum than we did Peter Weller’s in the Paul Verhoeven original from 1987. We're curious to see what the nerd reaction will be and are expecting a lot of "Look, it's the Guyver!" but we wouldn't be surprised at most people rolling their eyes and sighing. Black is the new black.
Of course, spy pics rarely look good, and in fact the RoboCop suit could possibly undergo a radical post-production CGI revision. These might even be preliminary suits -- who's to say RoboCop won't have a mid-film tech upgrade? Though the suit would look good under a Hawaiian shirt. Photoshoppers, get on that.
"RoboCop," nonetheless, has a sterling cast that includes Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley and Michael K. Williams. You'll buy that for a dollar, in 3D, August 9th, 2013.

Fuck this shit, needs to be rated R and whoever came up with the new suit design needs to be shot in public In front of children to set an exsample. So many mistakes already being made with this film. Eat a dick Hollywood !!! Bunch of rapist just giving robocop a good ramming with no Lube. Way to go fuckers !!!

For some reason my first reaction to seeing these pictures is I feel bad for Joel Kinnaman. It looks like the suit is hot to work in and is a pain. The second picture you can see that.

it's very much a compact version of the original suits design, the all black everything makes it fit better with police regulation uniform, as well as allowing for better stealth use.

the helmet is the same -except black of course, i dig that the suit is black also, BUT i dont like the way the texture looks, it seems to rubbery like batman, i was hoping for the design they had in the first viral video commercial months back. Nonetheless, the COULD quite possibly be a classic, probably wont outshine to original but it could start up its own to era, i feel the film deserves a reboot for some reason, if done correctly, this film could shoot Robocop into another level of hero/super- stardom up there with Batman, Ironman, Spider man.

Unfair to judge it but I'm not digging it. Part of what made the original Robocop effective was how much like a machine it looked, which of course played into on of the film's key themes of Murphy's struggle to reconnect with his humanity. This looks more like a suit, like something you'd see in one of Nolan's Batman films. It's probably just my love for the first film clouding my judgement so I hope that it'll be more effective in motion.

So they decided to combine Batman with Iron Man. That'll get the kids to see this.

The PG-13 rating has been confirmed. Robocop 3 is the only PG-13 Robocop film thus far, and we all know what a masterpiece that was.

Looks like the Guyver to me.

Well give the man a hand! or not. What the heck is this.? This is bad. Dark Knight in Detroit? Ironman in Black? An Accelerator Suit?! Holy Crap. Where is Robocop when you need him!?
