Expendables 3

The Expendables” franchise seems like both a blessing and a bit of a curse for Sylvester Stallone and his team of aging action stars. While the franchise itself has proven to be a hit, it hasn’t exactly been a career re-launcher for guys like Stallone and Schwarzengger whose films “Bullet to the Head” and “The Last Stand” proved to be unsuccessful in the box office this year. Still, at least they all have a franchise to fall back on and it’s fun to see what kind of a cast Stallone can conjure up for the next “Expendables” film. Speaking of which, Stallone has recently taken to Twitter to tease us all about who might show up for “Expendables 3.”

Stallone wrote a series of tweets a few nights ago dropping a few casting tidbits. He has confirmed that Wesley Snipes and Mickey Rourke will be in the third film, teased that Jackie Chan might be making an appearance as well, and he says he plans on raiding the cast of “The Raid: Redemption”: “We believe we can do better than THE RAID, which was an excellent film… Raising the bar…” We’ll see about that.

You might remember Sylvester Stallone tried courting Chan for a previous “Expendables” film and Chan himself said he would be willing to appear in “Expendables 3” as long as he’ll be “appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes.” So it looks like the two of them may have managed to work something out. Production is expected to begin in the fall. [Movieweb]

I do agree the raid was incredible movie from start to finish if sly is trying to top that he got to put all his cards on the table and hold nothing back. It will be very hard it a small chance but i agree i dont see him making it better then the raid

Sounds good to me, but as for bettering The Raid, he'll have his work cut out.

Yeah, it can still be a good movie, but beating The Raid will take a lot of work. I don't think Sly can beat it.
