But as always, it's the ads everyone is talking about anyway, and this year, Hollywood dropped a bunch of cash hoping to lure football lovers to theaters over the next few months.

Another week into 2012, another cavalcade of posters hitting the web for a handful of new releases. First up is a new poster for Jonah Hill's '80s cop reboot, "21 Jump Street." The film isn't out until March but word out of a test screening last week was very strong, indicating that this is a rare spring release worth actually looking forward to. Riding the success of his understated turn in "Moneyball," the film finds Hill back in familiar, R-rated comedy territory, hitting theaters on March 16th. [Facebook]

If there's one potentially awful big screen remake of a classic (maybe the word classic should have been in ironic quotes) that we're looking forward to, it's "21 Jump Street." There's really no reason this thing should work - it's a comedic take on a dramatic series, which worked out so well for "Starsky & Hutch;" it co-stars the frequently wooden Channing Tatum; and it just reeks of a kind of desperate nostalgia. That said: we cannot wait. And now we have a new-ish trailer and poster to hold us over. Also, some new footage from "The Avengers" comes courtesy of a German trailer that seems awfully strident and authoritarian.

We can't be the only ones who feel like Ellie Kemper is going to be a giant movie star. The 31-year-old actress, a graduate of Princeton, Upright Citizen's Brigade, The Onion and McSweeney's, has been one of the shining lights of "The Office" since her introduction as touched-in-the-head receptionist Erin a couple of seasons back, and after supporting roles in "Mystery Team," "Get Him To The Greek" and Sofia Coppola's "Somewhere," she broke-out on the big-screen in a major way this summer in the mega-hit "Bridesmaids."
