Warner Bros. Plans A Thanksgiving 2012 ReleaseJust yesterday, Warner Bros. picked up "Swear to God" as a potential vehicle for powerhouse comedy duo director Adam McKay and Will Ferrell but it looks they want them for something else first.

The pairing of Will Ferrell and Adam McKay is like peanut butter and chocolate, and of course, has been very lucrative as well. The duo collaborated on "Anchorman," "Step Brothers," "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" and last year's "The Other Guys" and Warner Bros., like the rest of us, wants to see these two back together again.

Script's Almost Done, But Director Admits That It's A Hard Film To Get MadeThe career of Adam McKay is at an interesting juncture now -- having delivered four successful comedies starring BFF Will Ferrell ("Anchorman," "Step Brothers," "The Other Guys" and "Talladega Nights": and yes, those are ranked in order of brilliance), the former "Saturday Night Live" writer is starting to look at stepping outside of his comfort zone, with a couple of projects percolating that look to take him into slightly less ludicrous waters and away from Ferrell. One is a biopic of legendary political consultant Lee Atwater, from "In The Loop" and "Four Lions" writer Jesse Armstrong, although that seems further off at the moment.

Adam McKay Invites Mos Def To Spit A VerseDirector, producer, writer and Will Ferrell BFF, Adam McKay hit Twitter today to drop some mad knowledge on the world. First he teased, "Are we currently working on a Step Bros rap album? Yup." But before we could begin to speculate as to what this could all mean, he followed it up confirming he meant he exactly what he said: "I wasn't kidding about Step Bros rap album. And we just found out we have a crazy big time producer. Mos Def, you up for a guest flow?"
