'Star Trek 2' Confirmed To Have Slipped From Summer 2012The train for the "G.I. Joe" sequel "G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes" keeps on barreling forward: it's only a few days since D.J. Cotrona and RZA came on board the pared-down, recast sequel to the 2009 toy adaptation, and now another no-offence-but-not-exactly-A-list actor has signed on, with Deadline reporting that "Friday Night Lights" veteran Adrianne Palicki has signed on to next summer's follow-up, which "Step-Up 3D" and "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" director Jon Chu is helming.

Not That There's Anything Wrong With ThatSebastian Gutierrez’s “Electra Luxx” isn’t so much a sequel to 2009’s “Women in Trouble” as it is a 95-minute love letter to girlfriend and star Carla Gugino. The original film only made $18,000, so it’s difficult to see “Elektra Luxx” as anything other than a labor of love (albeit one with some fun cameos and solid casting) that's pointless to the world outside the couple.

Momentum. In terms of building a career, there's nothing quite like it, and it's something we've commented on before -- with the rise of names like Tom Hardy, Michael Fassbender and Taylor Kitsch, actors who are, as yet, unproven as box office draws, and yet find themselves linked to every high-profile role in town. The more times they crop up on these wishlists, the hotter they become -- the snowball effect, essentially.

Yes, we know this is television news but considering how long a "Wonder Woman" feature has been rumored and knocked around, and given the heat now building up around the new television series -- if it does well -- you can bet a movie won't be too far behind.
