After a back-and-forth over his next project, Arnold Schwarzenegger is returning to the big screen in "Cry Macho." The drama, to be directed by "The Lincoln Lawyer" helmer Brad Furman, deals with a former horse trainer who is forced to kidnap a boy, only to realize the boy's mother is in no way interested in getting the boy back. Bonding ensues. And, apparently, violence, as The Hollywood Reporter informs us "some action elements have been added to accommodate the star." What, did you expect Arnold to ACT his way out of a hostage situation?

Last week, rumors surfaced that the project reuniting Arnold Schwarzenegger with the "Terminator" franchise was going to be a present-day affair featuring the cast of the original film. "Terminator 2012" as it may be called, is still without a home, the project being shopped to studios with director Justin Lin ("Fast Five") aboard, but Lin claims that the original cast chatter is just a hunk of balderdash.

It seems folks around Arnold Schwarzenegger's camp have become very chatty over the last twenty four hours. Following news this morning of another potential Arnie movie, "Cry Macho," now comes some interesting tidbits about that "Terminator" movie that's currently trying to find a studio to take it on.

Hollywood wants Arnie (whether the rest of us do or not remains to be seen) and the former Governator (who turned that moniker into an animated series) has his pick of projects. A new "Terminator" film is currently out at the studios looking for a buyer, and earlier in the year, he was linked to Ji-Woon Kim’s “Last Stand” and Antoine Fuqua’s “The Tomb” as possible new projects. Well, you can add one more.

Well, he's back. On the heels of his stupid looking animated show "The Governator," and with rumblings of Ji-Woon Kim’s "Last Stand" and Antoine Fuqua’s "The Tomb" as possible new projects, Arnold Schwarzenegger is returning to the franchise that made him a star in a new installment in "The Terminator" series.

Limited by a two-term limit as governor, his inability to run for President (due to being born in Austria), and the fact that he fucked up the California economy royally, legendary action star Arnold Schwarzenegger's flirtation with politics seemed to come to an end at the start of this year. But as one of the few actors recognizable by his first name alone, and boosted by a cameo in last year's "The Expendables," even an eight-year gap between starring roles ("Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" being the last) wasn't going to prevent Arnie from being courted by the studios.

Larry King To Be A Recurring Character On The Cartoon ShowOh hey, so in case you forgot, Arnold Schwarzenegger's first project out of office is incredibly lame sounding "The Governator." First announced last week, the brewing franchise (seriously) will span comic books and television with Arnie reimagined as a crime-fighting former politician (sigh) who has his own Bat-cave sort of thing under his mansion, is assisted by a techie security guy named Zeke Muckerberg and squares off against Gangsters Imposters Racketeers Liars & Irredeemable Ex-cons (or G.I.R.L.I.E. Men, for short). It sounds like Stan Lee, who is helping develop this thing, didn't see one bad idea he couldn't use and now this mess of awfulness is being developed into a movie.

We wish we were joking, we really do, but it looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to milk that Governator title until it's bone dry.

Let's take a trip back in time shall we? Back in the summer of 2009, Tom Arnold said -- either sarcastically or delusionally -- about a possible "True Lies 2" that, "All I know is Jim Cameron’s making it and Arnold [Schwarzenegger] and I are going to be in it, and it starts shooting in 14 months, the day after Arnold stops being governor of California. It’s not going to be called ‘True Lies II,’ but it might as well be. I can live with that." Well, that time has since passed and either Arnold was lying, joking or hoping (probably somewhere in the middle of that). Anyway, he recently chatted with Movieweb (via /Film) and once again made some bold claims.
