They say that the definition of madness is doing something over and over again and expecting a different result, but sometimes movies are made for a simple reason: because you can. It certainly doesn't hurt when funding comes from multi-millionaire John Aglialoro, who has the rights to Ayn Rand's famed "Atlas Shrugged," and seemingly has no problem continuing to lose money on the feature film trilogy. There's probably an an objectivist lesson in all of this, but we'll let Aglialoro figure it out himself. At any rate, the third installment in the series no one cares about is coming.

The 33rd annual Razzie Nominations have been announced. In case you've been living under a rock, the parodic award ceremony (dis)honors the worst films each year, usually just a few days before the Academy Award nominations are announced. This year is no different and "Twilight" fans will be receiving a little painful raspberry in the eye. "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part II" has been nominated in every single categories. The Bill Condon-directed film even managed the feat of 11 nominations in only 10 categories, including Worst Picture, Director, Lead Actress, Lead Male and, well,... every other category.

"Atlas Shrugged Part I" was awful and, though we didn't see it, we're so sure "Atlas Shrugged Part II" was terrible, we put it on our Worst Movies Of 2012 list (because, seriously, just watch that trailer below). But for the five of you who love what THR describes as the "ultimate libertarian porn," there is some good news on the horizon.

Well. It happened: they actually made a sequel to last year's cringe-worthy "Atlas Shrugged Part I," which was savaged by critics (amazing Roger Ebert quote: "the most anticlimactic non-event since Geraldo Rivera broke into Al Capone's vault"), and even in its limited theatrical run not much of a hit (making less than $5 million against its $20 million production budget).

What happens when your first movie dies at the box office, gets savaged by critics and makes barely a blip on the cultural radar? If you're producers John Aglialoro and Harmon Kaslow, you spend even more money on the sequel, cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Even though "Atlas Shrugged: Part 1" was lambasted by critics (it currently sits with a tepid 11% Rotten Tomatoes score, read our review), died at the box office ($4.6 million, not even half of the budget) and had the producer flip flopping on the prospect of the sequel (we'll kindly forget to mention the DVD blurb fiasco), it looks like for the 23 of you that truly care, you'll be getting "Atlas Shrugged: Part 2."
