Bad Boys II Martin Lawrence Will Smith
It has been over ten years since "Bad Boys II," and in the time since, all anyone can think about is when "Bad Boys III" will get made. And steps have been taken. In 2009, Sony hired Peter Craig ("The Town") to write a script, and when that didn't work out, the studio hired David Guggenheim ("Safe House," "Stolen") at the end of last year to take a crack at it. Not much has been heard about the project since, but according to Martin Lawrence, his signature comedy franchise is very much alive.

Bad Boys
"Any time you can get Big Willie [Smith] to come out and talk about doing a third installment of a hot movie like 'Bad Boys,' you have to take notice. I met with Michael Bay and he said he's onboard too—so it's real," Martin Lawrence declared back in 2010. Clearly, it didn't happen, but Lawrence isn't wrong in saying that the project was/is "real." In 2009, Sony hired Peter Craig ("The Town") to pen a script but it seems the studio, still looking to get Will Smith and Lawrence back together, are looking for a fresh approach.
