Barely Lethal
Oh, we sort of thought the kids-shooting-guns-and-kicking-ass-for-laughs genre was done after no one cared about "Kick-Ass 2." Guess not. Another movie in a similar shape, though perhaps with a bit of "Hanna" and "Salt" thrown in too is on the way with "Barely Lethal." The first images from the movie are here via EW, with "True Grit" star Hailee Steinfeld as the kid trying to have a normal high school life until she's forced to use her special skills again. Dwayne Johnson, it seems, cannot be contained by two dimensions alone. Variety is reporting that Johnson is returning to the 3D world with the earthquake movie “San Andreas” and reuniting with his “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island”—also in 3D!—director Brad Peyton for the 3D earthquake movie, “San Andreas." Or is it called “San Andreas 3D?” While Allan Loeb and Carlton Cuse both penned earlier drafts, the film will go into production with a script from “The Conjuring” duo Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes. The film will focus on Johnson as an estranged father trying to rescue his daughter after a massive quake at the titular fault.

And now she's taking another curve; she' s going to direct.

Now she’s adding to that list -- Deadline reports that Steinfeld has signed on to Kyle Newman’s “Barely Lethal,” in which she will play a trained teenage assassin attending a regular high school.
