2 Guns
Did “2 Guns”… happen? It seemed there was a screening for the new action film. And it had Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg. Or is that just a memory from the overt billboards and advertisements, boasting both stars aiming guns with the title superimposed in front of them. There was some shooting, right? Why does it feel like the memory of this film is clutched in Leonardo DiCaprio’s arms as he whizzes through crumbling architecture to the braaaaaaaams of Hans Zimmer’s score? Should “2 Guns” be explained by Ellen Page frantically asking a series of questions?

Bill Paxton - a favorite of James Cameron, a tornado chaser, an Apollo astronaut, a Mormon wife-collector, and a friend of Joe Young. And also, it's sometimes forgotten, occasional director. The veteran character actor made his feature film directing debut a decade ago with the decent thriller "Frailty," and followed it up a few years later with the well-received Disney golf drama "The Greatest Game Ever Played," a sort of "Legend of Bagger Vance" without the questionable racial elements. With Paxton starring over the past few years in hit HBO drama "Big Love," his directorial ambitions have been on ice, but with the show wrapping up earlier this year, it looks like he's set to step behind the camera again.

Rising British actor Eddie Redmayne has packed a career’s worth of activity into a short time. He's already won a Tony Award, is well regarded for his stage efforts and is quickly making headway on both the small and big screen. He features in the mini-series "The Pillars Of Earth," has appeared in "Elizabeth: The Golden Age" and "The Other Boleyn Girl," however, “My Week With Marilyn” is where he’s got his biggest, showiest role to date. As third assistant director Colin Clark, he’s not only got to manage the egos on the set of “The Princess And The Showgirl,” he’s also tasked with being Marilyn Monroe’s unofficial “handler.” And like anyone else who orbited the star, he winds up falling for her.

Remember back in 2010, we told you that "Crazy Heart" director Scott Cooper was looking to take on a classic story of American folklore known as "The Hatfields and The McCoys"? Brad Pitt was set to produce and star alongside Robert Duvall, and apparently Walker was bringing his "Crazy Heart" composer T-Bone Burnett along for the ride. Well, it didn't happen, but it looks like Kevin Reynolds, the director of the infamous "Waterworld," may beat them to the punch according to Deadline. Bill Paxton has been cast as Randall McCoy, along with the previously announced Kevin Costner as the rival “Devil” Anse Hatfield. This version of the historic rivalry of the Hatfield and McCoy families that almost brought about another Civil War is set to be a television miniseries on the History Channel instead of a sprawling film.
