Keanu Reeves Says Wyld Stallyns Will Have "Lost Their Rock" In 'Bill & Ted's 3'

We always sort of figured "Bill & Ted's 3" would be like "Ghostbusters 3," something people like to talk about but that would never actually happen. And while Dan Aykroyd keeps dreaming about his movie coming together, fans of the Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter franchise got a surprise boost of good news last week when it was revealed that Dean Parisot ("Galaxy Quest," "Red 2") was now attached to direct. And more word on the project today as a few more details have dropped about what the story may entail.

"Ghostbusters 3" might be endlessly rattling around development hell (and with Bill Murray definitely not involved, really, who cares?), but another long-belated sequel to a 1980s comedy/sci-fi classic seems to be having a lot more luck. More than once in the twenty years since the characters were last screen, there's been talk of a third "Bill & Ted" movie, another entry in the franchise following the two titular less-than-bright Californians, as played by Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, who've traveled through time in "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" and fought off Death and met God in "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey". But it's one of those projects that, honestly, we never really thought we'd see come to pass.
