With "Black Swan" beginning its limited rollout this Friday, December 3rd, we presume this will be the last clip from the film to hit the web but you should've been long ago convinced that Darren Aronofsky's latest is worth seeking out.

Darren Aronofsky's psycho-sexual ballet world drama "Black Swan" is just over a week away from hitting theaters and the lead up to the film's release continues to intensify with a couple of clips hitting the web this week.

Fox Searchlight has done such a great job marketing "Black Swan" so far, so it's disappointing to see them take such a misstep so close to the film's release.

This writer, to his eternal shame, has something of a tin ear for classical music. Generally speaking, if a piece of music doesn't have at least one chorus, or is part of a film score, we tend to glaze over a little bit. So it's a credit to Clint Mansell's work on "Black Swan," which mostly appropriates elements from Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake," the ballet at the center of the film, that after our screening, we went home and listened to Tchaikovsky fairly solidly for about a week.

While we're still not quite settled with Darren Aronofsky entering the world of big budget filmmaking with his not-a-sequel "The Wolverine," if it means it can help financing to get more pictures like "Black Swan" made then we're all for it.
