Hailee Steinfeld may have a shot at some sort of record for most projects confirmed and unreleased at one time, with a handful of pending credits including “Romeo and Juliet,” “Ender’s Game,” and Tommy Lee Jones’ “The Homesman,” which was recently announced. Now she’s adding to that list -- Deadline reports that Steinfeld has signed on to Kyle Newman’s “Barely Lethal,” in which she will play a trained teenage assassin attending a regular high school.

Well, it looks like the gang's all here. Rumors ran rampant that Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days Of Future Past" would be bringing back a number of the series' more well-known characters, with Hugh Jackman confirmed to appear alongside Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan. But Bryan Singer has confirmed via Twitter that, not only are they looking to bring back as many cast members as possible from the original trilogy, but that Brett Ratner's lambasted "X-Men: The Last Stand" is definitely canon.

Yep, it's officially official. Late last year, MGM and Paramount decided to team up to back the Brett Ratner directed "Hercules," starring Dwayne Johnson. We hoped that it might be a cruel joke on us all, but alas, it's moving forward.

While never approaching the realm of a genre classic, even the most ardent detractor of Brett Ratner had to be surprised by 2011's “Tower Heist,” his most competent and enjoyable film since “Rush Hour 2.” Alan Arkin and the return of Eddie Murphy, Actor, helped that film greatly. Even for a series of books with a youngish fanbase, it must have been dispiriting for those with a vested interest in "The 39 Clues," a series of adventure novels written by multiple authors, which number 15 to date, that Steven Spielberg, who was initially eying the project as a potential directorial effort, was replaced by cinephile bete noire Brett Ratner. While it's not a backslide of quite the same degree, the latest change in personnel on the long-gestating film can't delight too many fans either.

Somewhere along the way during the press circuit for "Tower Heist" last fall, Brett Ratner's brain malfunctioned. In a string of high publicized incidents, the director managed to brag about banging Olivia Munn, tell a Q&A audience that rehearsals were for "fags" before going on "The Howard Stern Show" and giving a no holds barred account of: his sperm count; how condoms strangle his cock; throwing baloney on a girl's ass; his preference for how vaginas are groomed; how he sends a woman to his doctor before he sleeps with them; and a detailed account of the time he was caught screwing a Victoria Secret's model only to be walked in on by his then girlfriend Lindsay Lohan. We're not making this up (listen to it here). Needless to say, he got in all kinds of hot water and had to step down as producer of the Oscars. But Ratner is plotting his comeback trail.
