Kevin Smith did have issues with Bruce Willis on the set of "Cop Out," Kevin Smith didn't have issues with Bruce Willis on the set of "Cop Out." Which one is it? In a 2009 interview, the "Clerks" filmmaker called the action star "undirectable," but later qualified that statement with, "I think somebody took that as negative. It's not like, "Ahh, I can't deal with him!" It's just how do you direct Bruce Willis to play Bruce Willis? I can direct Jason Mewes to play Jay. I can direct Affleck to play a fucking angel — or to kill his career as a grieving father. But I can't fucking tell Bruce Willis how to be Bruce Willis — cause he's fucking Bruce Willis!"

Bruce Willis & Jean-Claude Van Damme To Show Up In 'Expendables 2'?

Speaking to Access Hollywood during the Golden Globes, Bruce Willis let it slip in a roundabout, not totally confirmed way that "The Expendables 2" was looking to shoot this year and that he may star. "Apparently it's going to happen this year... As far as I know, barring any unforeseen circumstances, but yeah, I would love to be a part of it." Willis generated buzz with a cameo in the first film as the mysterious Church, a character who, in a draft of the script we read, has a surprising backstory that revealed him as the mastermind pulling the strings for the Expendables' suicide mission. Which, of course, ended up not suicidal at all, since Sylvester Stallone and co. might as well have nuked the place at the end of that movie.

Also Cast In 'The Expendables 2,' So We Guess That's Now Moving Ahead TooRandy Couture's Hollywood career has come a long way, relatively speaking, since appearing as Fighter #8 in "Cradle 2 the Grave." This summer he had his biggest role to date alongside his fellow no-neck enthusiasts in "The Expendables," and now he's set to take his lumbering physique and cauliflower ears over to a new movie where he won't have to stretch his slim acting talents too much.

Rumors began flying around this morning that "Die Hard 5," the long chatted up sequel to "Live Free Or Die Hard," would be gearing up to shoot next year in Puerto Rico, L.A., New York and Vancouver. The news originated from a report in the Puerto Rican newspaper Primera Hora, who quoted someone named Gustavo Rivera Aparicio who apparently works 20th Century Fox's PR department, so we reached out to the studio to see if we could dig up any more info. And it looks like "Die Hard 5" is isn't quite ready to go in front of cameras.

Jenna Dewan Tatum aka Mrs. Channing Tatum Also JoinsWe kind of feel for Ryan Philllippe. He's a very talented actor who always seems to get saddled with projects that sound good on paper but end up disappointing for underperforming or both. After "Flags Of Our Fathers," Phillippe starred in a trio of non-starters "Breach," "Stop-Loss" and "Franklyn" and then popped up in a comedic turn in the underrated "MacGruber." But now he's set to take a page out of the Matt Dillon School Of Role Choices.

There are few projects we're as excited for in 2011 as "Looper" the third film from writer-director Rian Johnson. The helmer's debut, 2006's "Brick," was one of the most stunning and fiercely original debuts in recent years, and follow-up "The Brothers Bloom," while more divisive, has plenty of fans (including this writer, who finds it eminently rewatchable).

The Never-Happened Fake-Trailer Was Supposed To Star Stallone, Schwarzenegger & WillisAlright, we're on IndieWire now (hold on, don't groan, there is a point to this) and before the move this interesting could-have-been tidbit got lost in the moving shuffle. You'll recall earlier this month Austin filmmaker Robert Rodriguez took part in a Facebook livechat and it was there he revealed that "Sin City 2" would be the follow-up film after "Spy Kids 4: All the Time in the World," not "Deadpool" (and obviously that was his way of saying. "I'm passing" as Swedish filmmaker Adam Berg appears to be the frontrunner for the directing gig).
