If "The Expendables" meant anything (and, aside from some serviceable action sequences, it didn't really), it was a chance to see a group of action icons interacting with each other, with several scenes imbued with the baggage brought from the filmographies of all those involved. Come for the Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis, stay for the Gary Daniels! Sylvester Stallone and company have listened to the complaints, bringing back the entire cast for "The Expendables 2" and giving some of them more to do than to just sit around and chat.

Get it!? It's like catch-22 but like, with a gun! It's a pun! Yep, "Catch .44" is the name of this (pretty much) straight-to-DVD effort starring Bruce Willis and for those of you who are bowing at the altar of Megan Ellison, let it be known that this is an Annapurna Production. Nobody is perfect.

Exclusive: One of the reasons we're more excited for "Moonrise Kingdom" than we have been for any Wes Anderson film in a decade is the cast. While a few of Anderson's usual repertory company -- most notably Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzmann, are returning -- the leads, a twelve-year-old boy and girl, are newcomers (Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward), and the supporting cast are made up of some intriguing new names, including Bruce Willis, Edward Norton and Frances McDormand.

There are certain actors for whom any attempt to follow the logic or reason in their career choices can only end in failure. What drives Al Pacino to follow playing himself in Adam Sandler comedy "Jack & Jill" with a Phil Spector biopic? How does Samuel L. Jackson film both Cormac McCarthy adaptation "The Sunset Limited" and direct-to-video actioner "Arena" in the same year? At least Nicolas Cage owes the government millions in taxes, but some of these elder statesman seem to delight in veering between the sublime and the ridiculous, and one of the greatest offenders is Bruce Willis.

John McClane Could Fight Russians With Son In New ScriptThere's news today about "Die Hard 5" -- the sequel no one has been asking for and nobody really wants. Well aside from Bruce Willis and 20th Century Fox bean counters. According to TwitchFilm, filmmaker Noam Murro has left the fifth installment of the John McClane franchise due to shooting demands on "Xerxes," aka the "300" sequel/prequel now called, "300: Battle of Artemisia" which is looking to go before cameras sooner rather than later.

'Star Trek 2' Confirmed To Have Slipped From Summer 2012The train for the "G.I. Joe" sequel "G.I. Joe: Cobra Strikes" keeps on barreling forward: it's only a few days since D.J. Cotrona and RZA came on board the pared-down, recast sequel to the 2009 toy adaptation, and now another no-offence-but-not-exactly-A-list actor has signed on, with Deadline reporting that "Friday Night Lights" veteran Adrianne Palicki has signed on to next summer's follow-up, which "Step-Up 3D" and "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" director Jon Chu is helming.

If you were to draw up a list of the ten worst directors currently working in Hollywood, you'd have to save space for Simon West, who came out swinging with the botched delirium of sub-Bay actioner "Con Air" and has only gone downhill from there. West's films are cacophonous noise tunnels where the human spirit is unwelcome, where cynicism and craven stupidity triumph over creativity and ingenuity. Each one of his films has either a ripe premise, a great cast, or a too-big budget, only to be squandered by his narrow vision and neanderthal caveman storytelling. Yet somehow, Sylvester Stallone, who normally has an ear for his dyed-in-the-wool fans on the internet, has picked Simon West to helm "The Expendables 2."

50 Cent continues to churn through the cash in the 10-picture, $200 million deal between his Cheetah Vision banner and Hedge Fund Film Partners. He's already got the unintentionally hilarious football drama "Things Fall Apart" and the unintentionally hilarious heist movie "Set Up" in the can (sensing a theme here?). Anyhow, the rapper/actor seems to have found a kindred spirit in Bruce Willis who will apparently do anything for money and will star, once again, with 50 Cent in another sure to be terrible movie.
