Whether or not NBC's outstanding "Community" makes it to a fourth season -- and we dearly hope that it does, but given that the show was yanked from the schedule late last year, and is yet to make its way back, things are looking a little grim -- we're going to be seeing a lot more from the cast in the near future. Nominal lead Joel McHale will next be seen in Seth MacFarlane's "Ted"; breakout star Donald Glover is mixing up movie roles like "The To-Do List" with his musical career as Childish Gambino; his on-screen partner Danny Pudi will be seen alongside Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand in "My Mother's Curse"; Ken Jeong is everywhere; Alison Brie has a major supporting turn in "The Five-Year Engagement"; and even the show's Dean, Jim Rash, is now an Oscar-nominee thanks to co-writing the script for Alexander Payne's "The Descendants."

"Burt Wonderstone" is one of those projects that flies just enough below the radar that we never really paid much attention to it. Yes, it was a very hot script (by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein) but in the past few months the project has amassed an outrageously wonderful cast, which now includes Steve Carell (as the title character), Olivia Wilde, Jim Carrey, Steve Buscemi, Alan Arkin and James Gandolfini. And now this tale of dueling Las Vegas magicians has, according to the Hollywood Reporter, just added another name to its stellar cast: Emmy-winning actor (and Pixar mainstay) Brad Garrett.

Search For Female Lead Narrowed To Olivia Wilde & Sarah SilvermanSince "The Sopranos" ended back in 2007, James Gandolfini's been doing pretty well for himself, all told. He might not have taken any roles with as major an impact on the cultural zeitgeist as angsty mob boss Tony Soprano, but he's managed to tackle a diverse range of stuff, from a foul-mouthed general in "In The Loop" to a mood-swing-prone monster in "Where The Wild Things Are," and he's got some high-profile supporting turns on the way, in Stephen Daldry's "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close" and Andrew Dominik's "Cogan's Trade."

Well, she's funny, beautiful and a name that seems to be everywhere these days. So it's not exactly a big shock that Olivia Wilde beat out Michelle Monaghan, Judy Greer (our pick), Sarah Silverman (who was the final contender) and Jessica Biel for the female lead in upcoming magician comedy "Burt Wonderstone." But there's another great and unforgettable face joining as well.

Judy Greer Also In The MixNow that the forever gestating comedy "Burt Wonderstone" has its two leads in Steve Carell and Jim Carrey, the hunt is on to find a beautiful woman to star opposite these two guys, and the shortlist revealed by Deadline is pretty formidable.

Carell's 'Imagine' With Al Pacino Put Into Turnaround At Warner Bros.Up until now, the on screen pairings between Steve Carell and Jim Carrey have been fairly limited. Of course, Carell featured in "Bruce Almighty" where he was the unfortunate victim of Carrey's God-powered tomfoolery (and of course, his character was spun off into "Evan Almighty" which the less said, the better). They also both took voice roles in the animated "Horton Hears a Who!" a couple years back and irony of ironies, Carrey made a (pretty lacklustre) cameo appearance on the season finale of "The Office" last spring, of course, by this point Carell had exited the show. But it now appears that the duo are both going to finally co-star together as Deadline reports that Carrey has taken a role in the long developing "Burt Wonderstone."

Considering how long it takes to actually get a movie made -- even the most hard-working of filmmakers can go three or four years between projects, through no fault of their own -- it's not surprising that many A-list screenwriters, or writer-directors, get through the lean years by taking script doctor gigs. It's fast, well-paid work, it rarely amounts to more than a dialogue polish, as the films are generally too close to production for major structural changes to take place, and, if the film turns out badly, it doesn't reflect badly on you, as any doctoring generally goes uncredited, which is why names from John Sayles to Joss Whedon have made hay from it over the years.

Well, the tears have been shed and are now dry as Steve Carell officially exited "The Office" just a few weeks ago leaving the door open for a new boss to step in (this writer hopes the scene-stealing James Spader will do it but it will never happen -- but watch this, it's amazing). The actor is wasting too much time mourning his stint on the show as he's already moving full steam ahead on a number of projects. He's currently shooting "Seeking A Friend At The End Of The World" with Keira Knightley and later this summer he'll go toe-to-toe with Meryl Streep in "Great Hope Springs." But one project in particular has been in the works for a while now, with Carell keeping it near the top of his every growing list of options for his next movies.

It's got to be hard for a director to walk away from a feature-directing gig. If you're lucky, you get to make a film once every couple of years, and, while some helmers are able to boost their income with rewrite work or commercials, or TV and music videos gigs, sometimes that one feature is your only income. But at the same time, you only get to make a certain number of movies in a career, and if the stars aren't aligning correctly, sometimes the only thing you can do is pack your bags. It's not an uncommon occurence -- Guillermo Del Toro leaving "The Hobbit" and Darren Aronofsky bailing on "The Wolverine" being two recent examples -- and it's just happened on another pair of A-lister-led projects.

Here's a project that has been knocking around a while. "Burt Wonderstone" first landed on the radar when Jim Carrey eyed it very briefly last summer, and was soon followed by Steve Carell who became attached last fall. And that was pretty much the last we heard of it, but now there is fresh movement on the project.
