Actor Confirms That Captain America And Tony Stark Will Butt Heads In 'The Avengers'Little bit of nerd talk here, bear with us. Given the nature of most modern super hero films, WW2 is a pretty unique setting, which makes "Captain America: The First Avenger" --- a picture that has looked better and better since it was first announced -- something that could (hopefully) pan out as an interesting, enjoyable and entertaining piece of popcorn (hey, if "Thor" can pull it off, anything's possible, right?). So, some of us have been asking internally, could a "Captain America" sequel possibly be set once again in WW2? Or sometime in the past?

In Semi-Related News, Sun Rises In East, Sets In WestBit by bit, we're moving towards the hugely ambitious endgame of the first wave of Marvel's self-produced pictures. We've had two "Iron Man" films and an "Incredible Hulk," and they're soon to be joined by "Thor" (look out for our review coming in the next 24 hours) and "Captain America: The First Avenger," while "The Avengers," the Joss Whedon-helmed epic that'll team the heroes of all four franchises, starts filming this very day, ahead of its release a year from now.

Yeah, the internet has been pretty quiet the past couple of days as the movie world flocks to Austin for SXSW which kicks off today, so forgive us for this pretty minor update. But we figure it'll be of interest to some of you out there.

While we've made it pretty clear that "X-Men: First Class" is the best looking comic book film of the summer, we'll definitely give "Captain America: The First Avenger" a firm second place (sorry "Green Lantern" and "Thor," you both look too dorky to place). The Super Bowl teaser was a surprising amount of fun and while we await a full length trailer -- pretty lame "descriptions" have been floating around if that wets your dock --- we have a new peek at the villain.

Marvel is wasting no time on the continued expansion of their onscreen universe, and they've got a lot of projects on the go, but they must like what they're seeing in "Captain America: The First Avenger" as Latino Review reports that writers Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus, have been hired back to pen a sequel. Man, they really want to crank these things out. While there were some whispers that McFeely and Markus had their work punched up by Joss Whedon, the extent of that (if it happened) is unknown and if we had to wager a guess, we'd say that Whedon might've been merely been doing continuity touch-ups to allow "Captain America" to fit with "The Avengers."
