.Mobility! Within an LA Times slide show of 2011's big movies is a new photo from "Captain America: The First Avenger" showcasing the red, white and blue freedom fighter eschewing trendy posturing for a more proactive pose. One of the criticisms of superhero costumes relates to the comfort level and how they accommodate human physiques, but this cannily-chosen snap does a good job illustrating that Chris Evans will actually get to be an action hero in his action hero pajamas.

Entertainment Weekly (via Coming Soon) has scored the best in-costume look so far of Chris Evans as Captain America in "Captain America: The First Avenger." And, well... that is one busy suit. What we've been told so far is that Cap will have many different uniforms during the movie, but the combat-heaviness of this particular ensemble suggests this may be the final look. And oh, the pouches. Rob Liefeld just orgasmed like an errant piston.

Tentpoles That Hopefully Are Fun, Indies That May Or May Not Be Quality, Etc.You could see our annual three sets of anticipated film features like this: the Most Anticipated is an earnest example of the films we're truly looking forward to the most in that year, with a few caveats listed within if you read closely (i.e., we're looking forward to it, but the writing might be on the wall). Then our Escapist, Popcorn piece is more like: these are the fun, entertaining films of the year that may or may not be good. For us and our taste, it's always a bit of a toss up and history shows that we're generally on the money in terms of how we'll feel about the eventual product (not because we're biased, but because we know our own taste, blah, blah, blah). That said, we always try and remain as positive as possible. Frankly, if you're going to make super-hero films, sci-fi action films, fantasy/adventure films, etc. we want them to be good as touchstones such as "The Dark Knight," "The Lord Of The Rings," "Inception," etc., but obviously those films set the bar a little higher than what your average film from these genres generally aim for.

Plus Updates On Other Marvel Projects Marvel's big game-plan for the next couple of years got rolling on Friday, with the debut (to somewhat mixed reaction) of the first trailer for "Thor." It was the first real salvo in a marketing campaign that's set to last for the next eighteen months, with Thor hitting theaters next May, "Captain America: The First Avenger" in July, and team-up movie "The Avengers" following in May 2012. It's a plan of almost unprecedented scope and ambition, not to mention risk, and Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel Studios, marked the occasion by taking part in a webchat over at Hero Complex not long after the trailer went online.

The knock-on effects of the 2007 writers' strike have been felt heavily in the last few years. Last summer saw the obviously rushed likes of "Wolverine," "Terminator Salvation," "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and "GI Joe: Rise of the Cobra;" all of which were patently harmed by the disruption caused by months of inaction by screenwriters, while the films were in or gearing up for production. Hell, even "Star Trek," easily the strongest of the tentpoles that year, had script issues.

After some faraway set pics, a shot of stunt double in uniform and some cornball concept art, EW has dropped the first official look at Chris Evans in full gear in the forthcoming "Captain America: The First Avenger." And the verdict? Surprisingly decent, however...
