Aussie Filmmaker Says Decision Should Land This Week About What's NextAustralian visual sensualist and sybarite Baz Luhrmann is a perfectionist. We know this because he generally takes around five years between movies and toiled on an "Alexander The Great" biopic for so excessively that Oliver Stone and a blonde-eyebrow dyed Colin Farrell beat him to the punch in 2004 and the project withered on the vine. He's also only made four films in sixteen years which is basically the same pace as molasses.

We're bordering on giving Nicolas Winding Refn a *** job with all the myriad reports on his work, but what can we say, we admire the Danish filmmakers work ("Bronson," "The Pusher" trilogy, "Valhalla Rising") and his upcoming film "Drive" is very high up on our most anticipated 2011 list. So we'll keep it brief.

But Seriously, What's Wrong With Rebecca Hall?Just to give you an idea of how ridiculous casting roundups can be-- just eleven days ago, news broke that Keira Knightley, Amanda Seyfried, Blake Lively, Abbie Cornish, Michelle Williams and Scarlett Johansson were all in the mix to play Daisy in Baz Luhrmann's "The Great Gatsby" with the director apparently keen on Natalie Portman. Fast-forward less than two weeks later and now apparently Carey Mulligan, not named in any previous reports, is the frontrunner. Great job, internet.
