Yes, Roman Polanski's "Carnage" is indeed a comedy (with some drama) and if you had any doubt, this trailer should more than drive that point home.

Alexandre Desplat Replaces Alberto Iglesias As Film's ComposerWhile it may seem like heavier fare, "God of Carnage," the Tony-winning play by Yasmina Reza which Roman Polanski's "Carnage" is based on, is actually a comedy first, with some dramatic elements dashed in. In fact, one of the film's stars, Kate Winslet, recently revealed that the work is so riotously funny that during a performance of the play on Broadway in 2009, she "actually peed my pants, and not just once." Not exactly what we were expecting but it's definitely something we can get on board with.

Todd Solondz's 'Dark Horse,' Sam Worthington Starrer 'Texas Killing Fields,' Persepolis Follow-Up 'Chicken With Plums' Also In Competition, Soderbergh's 'Contagion,' Madonna's 'W.E.' Out Of ItAfter a few months of rumors flying around, the line up for the 2011 Venice Film Festival has been unveiled, and to put it mildly, we're a little bit excited. The opening and closing films, George Clooney's "The Ides of March" and Whit Stillman's "Damsels In Distress," had been revealed over the past few weeks, and now, we've got the full selection. There'll be little new for anyone who spied the leaked line-up a few days ago, which seemed to get things about right, but even without the element of surprise, it's an incredibly tantalizing selection.

Though you may not be familiar with the name Alberto Iglesias, you've certainly heard his work. The composer is perhaps best known for the music he's penned for frequent collaborator Pedro Almodovar or perhaps from his Oscar-nominated scores for "The Constant Gardener" and "The Kite Runner." Quite simply, he's one of the best composers working today and he's getting ready to add another acclaimed filmmaker to his resumé.
