OTR Actresses, 2014
We’re about to hit a real sea-change with the kind of movies Hollywood is making. For years, studio bosses shied away from the idea of making movies with female leads that weren’t weepies or romantic comedies, but last year saw the three of the top-grossing movies — “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire,” “Frozen” and “Gravity”—star women, all in genres that are traditionally more male driven.

The Walk, Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Today marks the 40th anniversary of Philippe Petit’s incredible tightrope walk between the World Trade Center towers, and while this story was already detailed in James Marsh's Oscar-winning documentary "Man On Wire," we're now getting a feature version. And so, if you ever dreamed of Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a bad '70s haircut retracing Petit's steps, well, this movie is for you. Oh, and in IMAX 3D too....

The more we hear about Disney's sci-fi "Tomorrowland," the more we’re intrigued. Related in some way to the Disney theme park attraction, the plot is still officially "unknown," though we’ve heard some fantastic things. The Brad Bird-directed film has already lined up an array of actors, including George Clooney and Hugh Laurie, or for doctor drama fans, Dr. Doug Ross ("E.R.") and Dr. Gregory House ("House, M.D."). And now, Judy Greer has joined the line-up, presumably as a bit of comic relief, but at this point, any speculation as to her specific role is being pulled out of thin air. This will mark Greer’s third film with Clooney; the others being "Three Kings" and "The Descendants."

When we caught up with French actress Léa Seydoux at the Berlin Film Festival, we asked about her about Michel Gondry's upcoming "The Foam Of The Days" (also recently called "Mood Indigo") which she had been linked to at the beginning of the year. "The thing is, that I don't really know yet [about that]...I have another project..." she teased, without saying much more. But indeed, it appears that scheduling has forced her out of the film.
