Despite (some of) the mainstream media coverage of the Occupy Wall Street protests painting the participants as a bunch of unemployed, left wing socialists who hate America, for anyone who has actually been down to Zuccotti Park (or to the various places where demonstrations have been taking place worldwide), they know that it's a remarkably wide ranging group of people. From teenagers to the elderly, with parents bringing their young children to see free speech in action, it's pretty inspiring stuff to witness first hand and it seems Hollywood is taking notice, albeit in some completely different ways.

While many of our writers didn’t exactly love Rodrigo Cortes’ “Hitchcock in a box” thriller “Buried,” it’s hard to deny that Cortes took some inventive turns with the film’s high concept premise. He's about to feature fairly prominently as the lead antagonist in Andrew Niccol's "In Time" (formerly titled "Now" and before that, "I'm.mortal") as well as Rodrigo Cortes' "Red Lights" but, other than that, his choices have generally been dominated by more risky, independent fare.

Just look at the recent track record of the Sundance Film Festival unveiling the newest Hollywood It girls: two years ago it was Carey Mulligan in "An Education," last year it was Jennifer Lawrence in "Winter's Bone" and this year, from all reports, it's the younger sister of the Olsen twins, Elizabeth Olsen.
