Comedy can succeed based on either its relatability or sheer absurdity, and “A.C.O.D.” favors the former approach, while not entirely forgoing the latter. Within its first few moments, this movie informs us that 54% of people are adult children of divorce, or A.C.O.D. Statistically, you’re likely to fall within that group (or closely know someone who does), making many of the jokes and observations here hit perhaps a little too close to home, though not too closely not to laugh.

“The big thing for us is about awareness of what an A.C.O.D. is,” director Stu Zicherman recently told EW. “There’s a lot of debate about [keeping] the title.” Well, keep they did and now comes the part of the campaign to let you know what it's all about. And that's just what the first trailer for "A.C.O.D." does, bringing together a whole bunch solid comedic talents for a tale about the effects splitting up....on everyone else...

Iron Man and Superman have dashed up onto the big screen, this weekend Wolverine gets his claws out, and closing the chapter on the summer of spandex is "Kick-Ass 2." And with the movie a few weeks away, a couple new clips have arrived to provide a peek at the R-rated mayhem that's brewing.

We can’t figure out whether to be excited or not about “Kick Ass 2: Balls to the Wall.” Sure the first film was all kinds of fun, and some of the new casting additions are pretty exciting -- most notably Jim Carrey. But on the other hand, there’s no Matthew Vaughn this time, and by all accounts Mark Millar’s comic wasn’t that great this time and it sounds as if it was going to need a lot of changes made to it before it could work on the big screen.

Is there any show that is more shambled, barely wheezing and in a shell of its former self than "The Office"? After Steve Carell exited the show (which was already wobbling in its last season with him), it seems the writers and showrunners had no idea what to do, flailing about as the comedy got much more broad, and the focus shifted away from the absurd mundane workaday life at Dunder Mifflin, into the corporate shenanigans at Sabre -- and all this while trying to establish Rainn Wilson as the show's next breakout star (plans to spin off Dwight Schrute into his own show, "The Farm," seem ill-advised at best). Anyway, long story short, they need some new life and they are pinning the hopes on some young talent.
