Let's take a break from festivals and comic book news for a (brief) moment and pivot toward some casting that's going on. Uma Thurman is the latest to join the massive ensemble — Bradley Cooper, Sienna Miller, Emma Thompson, Daniel Brühl, Riccardo Scamarcio, Lily James, Jamie Dornan and Alicia Vikander — in the John Wells directed "Adam Jones."

Presumably Hollywood's next hot thing, with "Fifty Shades Of Grey" ready to shackle up audiences next year, Dakota Johnson is probably getting more than a few things crossing her desk. And one of them is "Forever, Interrupted." The actress will star in the adaptation of the Taylor Jenkins Reid novel about "a young woman who elopes after a whirlwind romance and then must face the sudden death of her adoring husband. She must come to terms with his loss while forming an unlikely relationship with his mother — who didn't know she existed." No word yet on who will write or direct.

After spending some time in the blockbuster arena with the 2010 Angelina Jolie-starring espionage flick “Salt,” and this summer’s YA adaptation “The Giver,” Australian director Phillip Noyce will finally be helming a film with no action set pieces again. Per Coming Soon, Noyce will tackle the long-gestating adaptation of Phillip Roth’s critically acclaimed novel “American Pastoral” and he’s cast Ewan McGregor as the lead.

Norway's monster horror "Troll Hunter" made somewhat of a splash in genre circles when it was released stateside a couple of years back, so naturally, a remake is in order. And taking on writing and directing duties is "The Descent," "Centurion" and "Game Of Thrones" helmer Neil Marshall, who will redo the André Øvredal original.
