Thought the awards season was long done? Not quite. Last night saw the 18th annual Jameson Empire Awards, presented annually by the UK film magazine, the biggest in the world, and one of the largest such ceremonies to have their winners voted for by the public. This year, there's been a big push for more recognition for the ceremony, with probably the starriest and glitziest evening in recent memory, and we were there last night to see the winners revealed.

Well, here's one that's been cooking up for a while. Folks with particularly good memories will know that it was last September that word initially surfaced about Daniel Radcliffe and Fox's "Frankenstein" getting together for an electrically charged combination. And now, it's alive.

Plus First Look Photos Of Daniel Radcliffe In 'The Woman In Black' & 'The Big Year' With Owen Wilson & Jack BlackWhile the adult drama is seemingly endangered thanks to the hegemony of brand-based franchises and tentpoles there are still a few directors managing to convince the studio system to work within these limits. Sure, you can probably count them on one hand, but Jason Reitman, the filmmaker behind "Up In The Air," and "Juno" is one of these directors. It probably helps that these budgets aren't extraneous, but we'll take what we can get. So here's a first look at one of The Playlist's most anticipated films of 2011, "Young Adult" starring Charlie Theron wearing a Hello Kitty T-Shirt, hip shades and carrying a little toy pooch accessory. Being released by Paramount on December 9th in limited release, likely vying for Oscar contention, the film reteams Reitman with "Juno" screenwriter Diablo Cody.

Yes, classic film fans, prepare to sigh loudly and furrow your brows -- and rightly so -- as a remake of Lewis Milestone's 1930 WWI drama "All Quiet on the Western Front" is getting a remake. And not only that, it's going to be from "Deep Impact" and "The Peacemaker" director Mimi Leder. Ugh. But if this all sounds somewhat familiar, well, it kind of is.

Film Lands In U.K. Theaters February 10th, 2012With "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" getting over closer, the first fruits of Daniel Radcliffe's post-Potter career are starting to emerge. The 21-year-old actor has picked up respectable reviews on Broadway for his starring role in the musical "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying," and he's lining up the indie comedy "The Amateur Photographer," among other potential roles. But his first major starring role is in "The Woman In Black," Hammer Film's take on the classic ghost story by Susan Hill, and shortly after its debut at the Kapow! comic-con in London over the weekend, the first brief teaser trailer for the film arrived on line, courtesy of IGN.

With the "Harry Potter" franchise officially for the birds as of this July, its young cast are starting to look elsewhere for work. Emma Watson has "My Week With Marilyn" coming up, and may be teaming with Taylor Lautner on "Incarceron," while villain Tom Felton has Hollywood work on "Rise of the Apes" and "The Apparition" later in the year, and Rupert Grint is hopefully somewhere having treatment to make him less teeth-grindingly annoying. But what of Harry himself?
